Wychwood Residential Home

Description

 Wychwood is a homely medium sized house set in its own gardens with ample room for its 18 residents. Once having been a large family home and located in a residential environment Wychwood blends into the local community. We provide a wide variety of activities and are part of a lovely village, the centre being within walking distance. For those who wish to visit the village but need a little more support we provide a specially adapted car & minibus allowing residents to visit all local amenities; like the village cake shop for a cup of tea & a cake.

Residents can go down to the Potteries for a walk round and afternoon tea or just take advantage of our nice level garden to view the range of flowering plants & trees.The Post Office is now a new hub of thhe village with its Cafe.

Our accommodation offers single rooms, single en-suite rooms & shared en-suite rooms, a lounge and a dining room.

Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and nick nacs when they come to stay to help achieve the home from home feel. Visitors are always welcome and encouraged families are encouraged to visit.In the summer they can  even picnic in the grounds!

We pride ourselves that Wychwood is a home for life and full support is offered by our caring team whatever the need.

Support services include:

• A visiting chiropodist, optician, beauty therapist ,Music and Movement therapist & hairdresser.
• We use the village dental services and an excellent GP and District nurse service. Residents can also access a domiciliary dentist should they choose.

Staffing levels are maintained to ensure all needs can be met both day and night.

We can accommodate residents with a wide range of support needs from those with diminishing memory skills, dementia and Alzheimer’s to those with more physical challenges. This mix ensures a happy group of residents.
