Description

Wychdale,is our small specialist home, situated close by its sister home Wychwood and shares the same large and well maintained grounds. We accommodate just 6 residents offering large single rooms, supported by full facilities.Being a bungalow the home provides easy level ground floor access.

We have a lounge diner and a large kitchen, which residents can access with or without supervision depending on their skills, wishes and confidence levels. Residents are encouraged to participate in choosing and making their evening meal should they so wish.

Set within a friendly village environment residents can walk down into the village for tea & cakes or a little shopping. For those less mobile we have access to both a car and a mini bus for external activities.

Whilst the residents may be more active on moving to Wychdale as needs change we believe that where possible this is a home for life and residents can stay as long as they and their family choose whilst their needs can be supported by the excellent team of District Nurses.

Wychdale offers a high staff client ratio with fully trained and supported staff, allowing individuals to have extra support for external activities on a one to one or two to one basis allowing continuity to life as when in their own home.

Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and nic nacs should they wish to help achieve the home from home feel.

Visitors are always welcome and encouraged families are encouraged to visit. In the summer they can  even picnic in the grounds!
