Woodview Bungalow

Description

Woodview Bungalow is an NHS run facility for up to 8 adults with learning disabilities. It is a detached bungalow with gardens at the side of the property and a courtyard garden at the centre of the home.

All service users have their own bedroom, with specially adapted bathroom facilities within easy reach of each room. There is plenty of communal space for everyone to live comfortably together. A large sitting room, with a separate dining room, kitchen and laundry area. Service users are encouraged to be involved in daily living tasks such as helping to prepare meals or doing their own laundry.

Service users are able to attend the day centre which is on the same site as the Home. Activities such as gardening sessions, sensory sessions and friendship groups take place, and many service users have a hydrotherapy session weekly.

Service users of Woodview bungalow have access to a vehicle and driver to take them out and maintain contact with the local community, family and friends.
