The Turrets Residential Care Home

The Turrets is a magnificent large detached home in Caterham, a quiet residential village surrounded by beautiful countryside, farmland, hills, valleys and wonderful views with easy access to this friendly community's facilities.

Our ethos is to encourage service users to play an active role in running the home and to support them to carry out their own daily living tasks as far as possible.

The property offers ten beds, providing residential care for both males and females of varying ethnic backgrounds. All the bedrooms are above 12m square with en-suite facilities including hand wash basin, toilet and shower. Service users are welcome to personalise and redecorate their room to their own taste.

There is one bedroom on the ground floor with en-suite facilities; most of the ground floor provides communal areas:

• A lounge of 25m square with soft furnishings
• A spacious dining room of 30m square, overlooking the rear garden
• A smoking room for service users, with extractor fan and window
• A modern spacious kitchen
• An extra relaxation room with computer access
• The main staff office offers an extra enclosed area giving privacy to service users and visitors and for care management meetings

The property offers a substantially sized and well maintained garden situated at the rear with plenty of trees on two sides. The walls are mostly of high brick providing a safe and pleasant environment. The outside area has the benefit of CCTV cameras and an electronically controlled gate. An area surfaced with tarmac provides up to a dozen car parking spaces, with a detached garage and the home's own minibus transport. The home has an external laundry facility, spacious enough to provide service users with training.

There are a wide range of facilities available within close proximity to the home such as cinemas, local shopping centres, local parks, pubs, bowling alleys, gyms, leisure centres, libraries, GP's, dentists, chemists, theatre, hairdressing salon, beautician etc. There are also a number of churches of all denominations in the area for service users to visit and access.
