The Homestead

Description

The Homestead is a care home for up to 8 adults with learning disabilities, managed by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust.

Set in rural surroundings on the outskirts of Redhill and Reigate The Homestead is a detached property set back from the road. Communal areas consist of a Living room, dining area and kitchen, and all personal accommodation is in single rooms. The enclosed gardens are easily accessible and provides an outdoor dining area on sunny days.

The Homestead has it's own transport for service users to attend Day Centres, take part in community based activities or visit places of interest or the Coast.

Life at the Home is varied and service users are enabled to take part in everyday activities such as cooking meals and doing laundry. Staff encourage service users to maintain as uninstitutionalised life as possible, by attending dental and doctors appointments in the community rather than services coming to the Home.
