Sunrise Operations Weybridge (Reminiscence Neighbourhood)

This is a residential home for 29 service users who have a diagnosis of

dementia. It is actually sited on the top floor of another residential home

registered to the same organisation. A lot of thought has gone into the décor

and furnishings of the communal areas with thought given to the needs of

people with dementia. There is also a specialised snoozlem room, this contains

and area to relax with soothing lights, music and soft fabrics, it can have a

therapeutic calming effect on the person using it. The service users bedrooms

are mostly single although there are three suites, which would be suitable for a

couple to share. There are both lift and stairs by which the home can be

accessed, there is off-road parking available and some spaces have been

assigned for disabled people. The home has access to a minibus and outings

are facilitated on a regular basis. There are also a large number of activities

which service users are encouraged to join in with on a regular basis within the

home.

Fees for the rooms range from £693 to £1540 per week depending on the size

of the room, or whether it is a suite with more than one room. On top of this

there is a charge of £ 51 per day for the care input, this figure can increase if

the service user needs more than 3 hours one to one time from staff per day.

The time that will be needed is agreed with the service users and family

following an in depth assessment of care needs and will then be reviewed

periodically as needs change.
