Description

This is a residential home for 29 service users who have a diagnosis of dementia. It is actually sited on the top floor of another residential home registered to the same organisation.   A lot of thought has gone into the décor and furnishings of the communal areas with thought given to the needs of people with dementia.  There is also a specialised snoozlem room, this contains and area to relax with soothing lights, music and soft fabrics, it can have a therapeutic calming effect on the person using it.   The service users bedrooms are mostly single although there are three suites, which would be suitable for a couple to share.  There are both lift and stairs by which the home can be accessed, there is off-road parking available and some spaces have been assigned for disabled people.  The home has access to a minibus and outings are facilitated on a regular basis. There are also a large number of activities which service users are encouraged to join in with on a regular basis within the home.       

Fees for the rooms range from £693 to £1540 per week depending on the size of the room, or whether it is a suite with more than one room.
