Description
Springkell House is a beautiful victorian building recently refurbished, but maintaining many original features. It is adapted and equipped to the highest standard to provide comfort and care to our discerning residents.
Set in landscaped gardens our Home sits in the heart of the friendly village of Beaconhill, close to the National Trust 'Devil's Punchbowl' with easy access from the A3. Our location encourages our residents to take full advantage of the air purity of 'little switzerland', so called by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, once a local resident.
Springkell House has only single rooms, self contained suites are available for the more independent. All rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished. Majority have en suite facilities and shower, although we have specially adapted baths and showers residents can be assisted to use. All rooms and communal areas have an emergency call bell system for safety and peace of mind.
Our Philosophy
Beritaz Care Group is a family owned Care Home Operator providing nursing and residential care in our 3 Care Homes across Surrey and Hampshire. We provide quality care for older people and specialise in the care of those with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
We believe the success of our Homes depends on providing the level of care we would expect for our own loved ones. We have been successful over the last 10 years in creating a culture in all our homes that the resident's needs and requirements come first. This ethos runs from the Owners, Managers and right through all our care staff.
Accommodation
We are able to accommodated up to 34 residents in single rooms and self contained suites. Residents are encouraged to make their room their own by bringing mementos from home.
We have 2 main lounges, both are light and airy and a welcoming space to spend time with others. Meals are served in the dedicated dining room, although residents are able to take meals in their rooms if they prefer.
The library and reading area offer peace and quiet for those who prefer, daily newspapers can be delivered on request, and we use the gardens extensively in the warmer months.
The Hairdressing Salon is well used by the residents, our Hairdresser attends weekly. For those who are 'silver surfers' we also have internet facilities.
Our in house laundry service ensures that all personal items of clothing are laundered and returned to residents rooms without leaving the premises.
Life at Springkell House
Life is as varied as our residents want it to be. We have organised activities and excursions, including garden trips and viewing of Christmas lights, for example. A PAT dog visits us weekly which is a real highlight. Activities to encourage memory, co-ordination and exercise support those particularly with dementia, including our basketball ring in the garden....a real favourite!
Religious observance of all faiths is supported. Weekly communion services take place within the home, with pastoral visits arranged at residents request.
As family members and friends of residents we welcome and actively encourage you to remain involved in your loved ones life, visiting is unrestricted. We welcome you to join us at special events such as our Summer Garden Party, Celebrating resident's birthdays, and Christmas events. We produce regular newsletters to keep you up to date with goings on.
Staff
