Description

The Orpheus Centre offers a range of services. You can chose a stand alone service or a combination, giving you a unique opportunity to pick and chose from a menu of support options and activities.

Orpheus Domiciliary Service understands the importance of ensuring young disabled people have the opportunities to live fulfilled, active and independent lifestyles.

Aims

  • To provide innovative and personalised support services delivered in a person centred manner.
  • To encourage and develop partnership working to deliver high quality services.
  • To provide a skilled, trained and well supported team of staff.
  • To use the social model of disability to inform practice.

Personal Assistants meet with you to:-

  • Assist you to write your own support plan, health plan and transition plan.
  • Support you to write risk assessments and help you to stay safe.
  • Help you to find other services that you might want to access.
  • Support you to be healthy.

Accessing your community and leisure activities.

  • We provide support to access a range of community services.
  • We can support you to plan and access leisure activities of your choice.
  • We can support you to use public transport whenever possible.

Daily living and life skills.

  • Staff members are all trained to support you to learn about daily living activities.
  • We can support you to get advice with benefits.
  • Staff members can provide support with household budgeting and money management.

Accessing learning & work

  • We can provide support with voluntary work or work experience opportunities.
  • We can support you to look at colleges.

Personal Support

  • Our staff members are trained to provide a high quality support service.
  • Staff members complete inductions and go onto study NVQ’s.
  • Staff members support you to make your own informed decisions.
  • Staff members are trained to support people who have complex needs.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships.
  • We can support you to keep in touch with family and friends.
Services Offered Domiciliary / Home Based Care
Care Provided Young People 18+
Price H2 - £15 to £25 per hour
Facilities Licensed Bar or Cafe, Wheelchair Access, Minibus, Gardens with easy access, Internet access, Near shops and public transport
Activities Education programme, Programme of activities, Social events, Independent living skills, Clubs and special interest groups, Excursions
