All communal and personal accommodation is on the ground floor. (Upstairs house the industrial kitchen and utility room and office).
All corridors are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs, and have grab rails.
All 16 bedrooms are on the ground floor and have recently been enlarged with the doorways widened to enable use of specialised equipment. All rooms have a sink and fitted wardrobes.

Staff provide and assist service users in all aspects of personal care and daily living skills with psychological, motional and spiritual support all offered.
All service users have access to their own G.P. and primary health care services.
The staff team have developed excellent skills in relation to changing needs, health promotion , care of the elderly and working with individuals who have developed dementia, right through to the end of their lives whilst providing support to families.
The team work hand in hand with the local GP practice, district nurses, associated professionals, dieticians, psychologists, physiotherapists as well as both Marie Curie and Princess Alexandra Nurses.
Individual needs are met by person centred planning with each individual having a named keyworker with monthly care plan reviews taking place.
The team creates an environment whereby each individual controls the pace of their own live.
Dignity respect and choice are inherent in all aspects of care.
Due to the age and frailty of a number of service users, a large number of activities are offered within the scheme:
- Aromatherapy
- Reflexology

- Individual day activity session
The activities are supplemented by trips out. Recently we have accessed:
