Description

Cunliffe House is a large detached cottage set within the perimeter of the

grounds of The Royal National Institute for the Blind College. The College has

now been closed and the RNIB are now focussing on community care. It has a

garden and a terraced area outside and benefits from countryside views

although it is within easy walking distance of the town centre of Redhill. All the

usual public services including a railway station, large shopping centre and

library can be accessed there.

Single bedroom accommodation is provided in the home for four young adults

with learning disabilities who may also be blind or partially sighted. On the

ground floor there is a large communal living room, a kitchen/dining room and

a laundry room.

Young adults cared for at Cunliffe House are supported to become independent.

The base line annual fee is £60,936 and this was recorded in the homes

statement of purpose.
