Bridge House Care Home

Bridge House is an established care home that has been operating as a residential care

home since 1985. The home was purchased in January 2008 by Maria Mellaband care

group. This is the first inspection of the home under this new provider. Maria

Mallaband are a national company which operate a wide range of registered services

across the UK. Bridge House is located in the village of Elstead close to small local

amenities. The home is presented across two floors with a shaft lift providing level

access to most parts of the building. There is a small cottage attached to the main

building accessed by a semi-covered passageway, which accommodates three

bedrooms. Residents accommodation consists of twenty-nine bedrooms, including two

potential double rooms, all bedrooms provide en-suite facilities. Communal space

consists of a dining room, conservatory and two lounges. There is a courtyard garden

along with a large sloped garden which leads to a stream.

The homes literature states that the object of bridge house is to provide care to all

service users to a standard of excellence which embraces fundamental principals of

good care practices.
