Age Concern Runnymede is an independent, registered charity that provides practical support for older people living in Runnymede. If you, a friend or relative need advice or support please speak to us today.

If you need help with forms, letters or paperwork one of our Community Liaison Officers can visit you and provide independent and confidential support. We also have a specialist service for older people who need longer term support, for example people with dementia or depression.

Our volunteers can visit you for a chat and a cup of tea or to take you out.  If you are housebound our volunteers can visit the library on your behalf, so you can borrow books, talking books, CDs and information without visiting the library.

Age Concern Runnymede also organise outings to garden centres, pubs, shops and places of interest. Would you like to come along?

If you have difficulty with bathing, for a moderate charge, you can enjoy the comfort of a bath in your own home under the discreet supervision of a trained bathing assistant.

Our handyperson can help with small jobs around your home e.g. fitting shelves, handles or grab-rails. There is a moderate charge for this service.

If you have had an illness or are recovering after a stay in hospital we can provide free support for up to 3 hours per week for 6 weeks with light domestic duties such as bed making, washing up, shopping and accompanying you to appointments.

We can also loan you pieces of equipment such as wheelchairs and electric scooters.
